I have just received a copy of Frothers, Bubbles and Flotation, A survey of
Flotation Millin in the Twentieth-Century Metals Industry by Dawn Bunyak,
National Park Service, Intermountain Support Office, Denver Colorado, 1998
This is an important collection of information on small flotation mills and
was put up in an effort to preserve information and sites on the small
flotation mills that sprung up throughout the world to process ores from
small high grade polymetallic mines. The process allowed mines to provide
metals at low prices to the modern age that would not have been possible
without this very economical way of concentrating the metal bearing minerals
from the gangue. A great read of 91 pages with an important Bibliography
and some criteria on preserving important sites.
