>There are a number of masonry headframes in the Linares area of Spain.
Does anyone know of others outside Spain?
Tony,
There is what appears to be a masonry headframe at the Milagros Mine at Real
de Catorce, Mexico. The layout of the site was difficult to interpret -
there is a circa 30 inch all indoor Cornish engine house (intact but
roofless) aligned with the headframe but that is orientated at right angles
to the engine and the shaft collar itself could not be positively
identified. Photographs available if required.
