Dear Mark,
Thank you for your email and your interest in Pen-y-Clun. As far as the WMPT
is concerned of course I can say nothing because I am not involved. Though
the latter I regard as important, why is it that poor old Bryn-Dyfi is always
ignored?!!!!! It is a truly superb site, and would cost next to nothing to
stabilise and preserve. But it is always ignored. You mention lintels at the
Pen-y-Clun buildings, well, some at Bryn-Dyfi are on their way out, and, when
they eventually give, it will cost a great deal more to put the damage right,
and the site will not be quite as complete as it is now. Sorry for going on a
bit about these two places in particular, I know of course there are others,
but it does annoy me when I see the obvious being wasted. The Parc Mine is a
classic example of renovation vandalism, lets try & make sure this doesn't
happen again! - like some other examples in Mid-Wales that I will not
mention! I am sure my latter comment will invoke some feelings, but I will
not go further in this particular matter.
Kind Regards, BERNARD
