Apparently the mine will close before the end of this year, but frankly it
will be when the owner gives up. The Chinese (and others) can supply
fluorspar into this country much more cheaply than we can mine it.
A trip underground would be a very fine thing - I spent several days there
doing a consulting job for SRK in1991 and went just about everywhere - SRK
never got paid becasue the previous owner (Minworth) went bust. Such is the
reality of mining!
