Having already replied to this once, as always something else has just come
up.
The connection between the Long dynasty of Mill owners and coal mining in
both Cromhall and Yate has been established.
One of the grandaughters of Samuel Long (the elder) ie the daughter of
Samuel Long (the younger) is Eliza Mary Bennet. I don't know whether there
is any connection to the Bennetts you refer to.
