The following has come from MIDWIFERY TODAY, with a request that we put it
out on the mailing lists. I hope someone can help.

Hello.
My name is Ana Llorente, I'm writing from Caracas, Venezuela.
I'm delighted to receive your E-news every week. I share it with my
fellow doula students. Right now I am in 9 month doula training in one of
the
first waterbirth institutions in Venezuela, it's called Buennacer. Buennacer
has been giving prenatal education and attending waterbirths during the last
13 years, and 2 years ago opened a training for doulas. Through them I think
I've discovered a new and wonderful way in life.
On march 2000, my training will be over and I'm planing to go to England
with my husband. I'd like to know if there are institutions devoted to the
training of doulas, because I see forward to continue my education. Can you
give me any advice? If so, please do. I know they teach midwifery and
nursing, but I haven't found any thing for doulas.
Thank you very much for your attention and for your good publication.
