Hello everyone
I'm Lesley Hobbs, a midwife practising in Hampshire, UK. This idea is a
real box of delights!
I have been an independent midwife for 10 years now, but I'm about to
return to the NHS as a community midwife, which I'm looking forward to very
much. I'll still be able to do the occasional independent case, which is
great because I wouldn't want to stop that completely. I also do a bit of
writing from time to time and have written a book on setting up in
independent practice
At the moment, I'm studying for my MA and would like to pick some brains.
Does anyone know of any research, either past or current, which is to do
with how important (or not) midwives perceive their nurse training (or
nursing experience gained during training) to be in their midwifery
practice? I can't find any - which is pleasing because that's my
dissertation! - so if there is none, would people find it acceptable to
receive a questionnaire from me, via email, as part of my data collection?
Let me know what you think.
With best wishes, Lesley.
