In the context of current work on authorities, it might be of interest
to note that there is a new International Standard relating to this
area:
------- Forwarded message follows -------
Philadelphia, Dec 3, 1999
ISO/IEC 13250:1999 (Topic Maps) has successfully passed final
ballot and it is now an official ISO standard.
It is now being processed by ISO secretariat and should be published
within the next weeks (before the end of the year).
The only changes between the HTML version that is on Infoloom web
site and the final version of the standard are a few purely typographical
or grammar corrections.
