This presentation will cover the nature and scale of the Year 2000
problem from the point of view of the information professional
2.30 - 3.15 Ready for Year 2000? - Alasdair Kemp, Institution of
Electrical Engineers
This presentation will discuss in detail Year 2000 problems,
discussing where and how they occur. The focus of the presentation
will be on the use of the time remaining to the best effect.
3.15 - 4.00 Managing the legal risks of Year 2000 - Lyn Barkow,
Withers
This presentation will include a discussion of the legal position
between a software supplier and the user, between a service provider
and its customers and the sharing of information as a way of
minimising liabilities and disputes.
