I can't speak about RefMan, but I can report that the Z39.50
feature
in Endnote is very popular here. It allows users to do
simple
searches of PubMed and transfer records directly into their
database. This is great for the situation where you have a
list of
references that you want to incorporate and want to pick
them from
PubMed one by one.
