Assistant Electronic Information Skills Librarian (Training & Outreach)
Salary in the range £14,096 - £17,148 + £2,270 London Weighting
depending on
experience 12 month contract or secondment
Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a non-traditional
environment?
In conjunction with the Electronic Information Skills Librarian, you
will
work with healthcare staff in 3 community-based Trusts, visiting
community
hospitals, health centres and GP practices, helping them to access
library
services effectiveley and to provide training in searching skills as
necessary.
You will need to be a flexible team player with a professional
qualification
in librarianship, information science, information management or
equivalent.
You will need to be confident and have some prior experience of
training.
Some experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.

Central & East London Education Consortium (CELEC) is an NHS body
responsible
for workforce planning and commissioning of education and training on
behalf
of NHS Trusts and health authorities in the Central and East London
area.
CELEC is funding this one year post to support the development of
searching
skills for healthcare staff, using a variety of platforms and
interfaces.
