Anyone working in the broad fields of biomedicine and healthcare will
benefit from this informal, interactive `hands on' workshop. It is
taught by Alain Besson, Medical Systems Librarian at St Bartholomew's
and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Alain has
several years' experience of the Internet. He has designed Web pages
for the School of Medicine and Dentistry and the School Library.
This course has proved extremely popular in
the past; Alain has kindly agreed to add this additional date to our
programme. After this date, we will not be repeating the course before
June.
Consumer Health Care Information on the Internet

Consumer Health Care Information on the Internet is designed to help
patients, carers and health care professionals search the Internet
more effectively. The course focuses on World Wide Web sites and
newslists - delegates will receive a list of key URLs for future
reference. Taught by Bob Gann, Director of Help for Health Trust - the
leading consumer health information service. Bob has been working in
consumer health information since the mid 70s and is considered the
leading authority on the subject.
These courses include a course pack giving detailed handouts. The
venue for both courses is the British Library IT Training Suite, 2
Sheraton St., London W1.
