Has anyone had any experience in the use of voice recognition software?
I'm just about to buy one of the packages and am wondering which is the
best one to go for. Any recommendations - good or bad?
I've used an old version of one the old (discrete) IBM products. It's OK
for just a paragraph or two - I wouldn't rely on it to do any more than
that- the time to check the text defeats the object of saving time by
not having to type.
I've heard that Dragon Naturally Speaking (continuous speech) is one of
the best. Dragon's website informs us that they have released a version
in the U.S.A. specifically designed for the Pentium III which cuts
enrollment down to 3 minutes with 99% recognition! I don't think this is
available in the U.K. yet.
Any comments gratefully accepted
John
