In case lis-ukolug members have not seen this yet, the Guardian has
revamped its web site:
www.guardian.co.uk
There is much to commend in the new layout. It is easier to navigate and
there are better interactive facilities - a talk forum and feedback
facilities in many sections. The breaking news section on first sight looks
quite comprehensive and up to date with good use of different wire
services. There is also a far greater portion of the site dedicated to
archives - although it doesn't match the comprehensiveness of the Times and
Electronic Telegraph archives. I have always thought that the added value
of an online newspaper is in it's interactiveness and reference facilities
so it's good to see the Guardian taking another step in the right
direction. I could have done with more extensive links such as, again, the
Electronic Telegraph and Times have. I'd be interested in other views on
the revamped service.
