THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF MIDDLE EAST LIBRARIANS
http://www.uni-bamberg.de/unibib/melcom/home.html
21st International Conference, Liege, 17th-19th May 1999
THIRD AND FINAL CIRCULAR
(also at http://www.uni-bamberg.de/unibib/melcom/news.html)
Dear colleagues
here comes the third and final circular containing the
programme and other last informations.
Please note that the conference venue will be in
the University Library of Liege, address:
Place du 20 Aout, 7.
As Frederic says, you can not miss it: this square is
not big and there is only one big building there dating back
to the 19th cent. and having a huge door. The room number
where we'll meet is S100. Frederic says that it is quite
difficult to reach it, so he will draw a map of the building
and put it in an envelope with other material on the city
(map, museums - extraordinary service! A.D.) and leave this
envelope in the respective hotels where the participants
will stay. In order to accomplish this Frederic would like
all participants to confirm their coming to him (not to me!)
by a short e-mail ([log in to unmask] (Frederic Bauden))
or a fax ((32) 4/366.56.55) indicating the name of the
hotel where the participants will be staying. Apart from
that there will be arrows with the name of the conference
dispersed in the library building and indicating the room.
I think everybody should be able to find it!
I would also like to remind all the speakers to restrict
their lectures to an approximate length of 20-25 minutes
and thus allow questions on the lectures.
Concerning the availability of technical devices for the
lectures there will be a slide projector, a retroprojector,
a computer with internet access, a beamer, electronically
closable shutters and a microphone.
See you in a few days
Andreas Drechsler
