Dear Debbie
We access the Internet on machine which runs Windows95 - in the Windows
folder on the C drive there is a useful FOLDER (not file) called
Temporary Internet Files which logs all the Internet calls
automatically; the information can be displayed in a variety of ways
e.g. data accessed, etc.
Best wishes
Kati Russell
>I have been contacted by one of our physios who has recently obtained
>an Internet connection in her department, and wants to know if there

>her staff. She is happy for them to use it during the evening but
>does not want anything inappropriate to be accessed. Also she is
>concerned about large bills running up.
>
>As far as I can tell, her only options are to install some
>restrictive software to prevent pornographic material etc being
>accessed, and to set up an internet card system like EMOS's service
>so that everyone can pay while making personal use. Apart from these
>suggestions, the only thing I can say is that it's a matter of trust
>- and I personally feel she's being a little over-cautious. Maybe
>I'm too trusting, but I don't think many staff abuse their
>out-of-hours Internet priveleges too heavily!
>
>Does anyone have any suggestions for her or opinions about this?
