NATURAL SCIENCES LIBRARIAN
A science graduate with library or information
science qualifications is required to join our
subject team in the busy main Library of this
research-led institution. You will be
responsible for liaison with the three
departments of the Faculty of Natural Sciences,
managing a bookfund, developing and delivering
information skills training, and taking part in
the work of the enquiry team. You will also have
some general library responsibilities and work
occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Candidates should have at least two years'
experience, preferably in an academic library,
and excellent presentational, communication,
team-working and IT skills. Good knowledge of
both printed and electronic sources of
scientific literature and information is
essential.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and
experience and will be within the range, 19,704
to 25,785 pounds inclusive, with appointment to
a salary of 20,785 depending on experience.
Benefits include 34 days holiday and a
superannuation scheme.
