I read this book with avid enthusiasm when I was 14. It's
about 14 girls, all aged 14 and all called Margaret. aThey
are all at the same boarding school and all with different
personalities. They think up 14 different forms of the name
Margaret - Meg, Margo, Peggy etc to suit their own
personalities. Can't remember much else about it thinking
back from this distance but it was really popular with the
class in my all-girls convent school at the time! Probably
a real timepiece by now. I'd no recollection of who wrote
it though so it was interesting to see it mentioned.
