Dear Colleagues
NeLH Scoping Study
You will already be aware of this study being undertaken by Hudson
Rivers. Some time last year I asked questions about NHSNet and
Internet access but fear this information must be out of date by now.
I should be grateful therefore if you would help the Scoping Study -
which is trying to define the issues which need attention of which
actual physical access to NHSNet might be one - by answering the
following questions. Please choose the most appropriate answer from
a-d below:
1. Is your Trust/Institution connected to NHSNet
a) now b) will be within 3 months c) will not be within the
foreseeable future d) don't know the answer
2. Is your library connected to the NHSNet
a) now b) will be within 3 months c) will not be in the foreseeable
future d) don't know the answer
3. Is your library connected to the Internet
a) via NHSNet b) via a commercial provider (please specify) c) in
another way eg via Higher Education network (please specify)
4. Do other people in your Trust/Institution have access to
Internet at their place of work ?
Yes/No
could you give an indication of the percentage?
5. does your library have access to JANET?

6. Do other users in your institution have access to JANET?

7. Which software do you use to access the Internet?

Hudson Rivers are working to very tight deadlines and need any
available information by March 2nd. Please could you let me have any
responses by March 1st either by e-mail or by fax.
Many thanks for your help.
Yours sincerely
Valerie
