Dear all
I am very pleased to be able to tell you that Angie Ryan has been
appointed to this post. Angie is taking up the post part-time
from this week working Thursdays and Fridays during September and
will be fulltime from October 1 1999. Currently she has been working
at Leeds General Infirmary on the Clinical Knowledge Databases
Project through which she designs and delivers database
searching training programmes to health professionals.
Angie has a combined Honours degree in Library and Information
Studies and English from Loughborough University and has just
completed an MA in Modern and Contemporary Writing at Sheffield
University. Her previous experience in the health library field
included a Senior Library Assistant post at Mount Vernon & Watford
NHS Trust.
Angie hopes to be able to attend the next NORWHSLA meeting on Sept
20th to meet members of the group.
Not many people may know yet.....but warmest congratulations to Mary
Ingram who has been appointed to the post at ARC, succeeding Ros
McNally who is following Steve Rose at the National Primary
Healthcare Reserach Devlopment Centre in October.
As many already know Mary joined JRULM as part of the Manchester
College of Midwifery & Nursing transfer into higher education and
later moved from the site librarian's role at Gateway House to the
Electronic Resources Helpdesk at the Main Library. We hope to see
Mary and Ros with their new hats on at future Norwhsla meetings
also.
Reagrds
Valerie
