Christine
I allow all employees of Burnley NHS Trust access to my facilities (ie
they can look at Journals, photocopy them in the library and the same
goes for books and use the Offline Medline and Cochrane and Library
catalogue facilities, and use the two free Internet terminals) but they
cannot borrow any material and I make it plain that any doctors wishing
to utilise any of the foregoing have priority. No charge is made, and I
make it clear that I can offer very little assistance in using any of
the facilities as my time is so limitied. I think you would find that
giving access to 60 Ambulance they would require a great deal of
assistance as offering them use of the facilities without helping them
to use them would be a bit like giving someone a bottle of wine but not
giving them access to a bottle opener. So do you have the time to give
these sixty potential users the training they would require?
