Ligurian landscapes - First announcement
A 1-day conference is to be held at Nottingham University on
Saturday 1 May 1999, entitled "Ligurian landscapes".
The conference is organised jointly by Ross Balzaretti (History),
Charles Watkins (Geography) and Mark Pearce (Archaeology),
and aims to bring together people who work in Liguria.
A number of people have indicated that they will be present and
giving papers:
Diego Moreno, Edoardo Grendi, Roberto Maggi (Liguria)
Nick Branch, John Lowe, R Haussler (UK)
Michael McCullagh (Nottingham)
other workers who we know have interests in the region have
been invited.
A public lecture by Oliver Rackham is programmed for Friday
30 April.
We expect to allow between 20 and 30 minutes for each paper
and to have ample discussion.
The organisers would be glad to hear from anyone who would
like to present a paper, and further details of the conference will
be circulated.
