I have never heard of such encounter in the border between Ecuador and
Peru, but between Brazil and Venezuela, in the Amazonic region, and the
rivers are: Rio Negro and Orinoco. Rio Negro, which means "Black river",
is obviously of a blackish colour, I believe due to specific minerals
found in the riverīs soil. The Orinoco is of a reddish colour.
