International Conference on
Technical Aspects of Maritime Boundary
Delineation and Delimitation
(including unclos Article 76 issues)
The International Conference on Technical Aspects of Maritime Boundary
Delineation and Delimitation is being organized by the IHO-IAG
International Board on the Law of the Sea (ABLOS). The Conference will be
held in the premises of the International Hydrographic Bureau (IHB),
Monaco, 9-10 September 1999.
The Conference will consist of four half-day sessions focussed on:
- Issues concerning the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf
- Geodetic issues (with emphasis on errors in maritime boundaries)
- Tools needed for boundary delimitation
- Other issues and case studies
It is planned to have about 8 papers presented during each session. Because
of room limitations at the IHB, attendance has to be restricted to a
maximum of 80 persons.
A registration fee of 100.- US$ will be charged to cover preparation of
proceedings, a reception in the evening of 8 September, and coffee breaks.

Please find attached information on hotels, the transportation between Nice
airport and Monaco, and the location of the IHB. Please note that delegates
have to make their own hotel reservations.
