Dear Colleagues,
I have been asked to post details of the following book on Central American
boundaries published by the Centro Frances de Estudios Mexicanos y
Centroamericanos (CEMCA):
"Las Fronteras del Istmo: Fronteras y Sociedades entre el sur de Mexico y
America Central" (The Boundaries of the Isthmus: Boundaries and Societies
between the south of Mexico and Central America), ed. Philippe Bovin, 1997,
349pp.
This book brings together the papers presented at an international
conference which took place in Antigua, Guatemala in September 1996. From
the perspective of history, economy, geography, sociology, geopolitics and
anthropology, this study searches to reevaluate the political and economical
characteristics and their relationship with their surroundings.
