Liliane Mees from the Universitet Leuven, Belgium has asked for the
following information to be forwarded to all IAMS members.
MUSEUM MOVIE DAYS
>From 17th to the 19th March 2000 the Royal Belgian Institute for Nature
Sciences in Brussels will be organising the screening of scientific films.
The programme consists of 5 'subjects' of short films about the following
themes:
- Treasures of the first scientific films
- Insects
- Evolution
- Marine life
- Prehistory
The museum will show films from its own collection, but it also wants to
show (more recent and/or special) films from other institutions. Can we ask
IAMS members to send movies (film or video) about the subjects, mentioned
above? Costs will be paid by the Museum.
Please note that this is the first occasion the Museum has set up film
screenings. Consequently, there will be no contest this time. The
previewing of films will start from the 8th November 1999, and will continue
during the whole of November and December.
