This highly interactive conference, initiated by the NHS Executive =
South
West, will enable participants to learn about making interprofessional
education an integral part of improving services and outcomes. =
Contributions
will have a distinctive practice-based focus and particular attention =
will
be paid to considering users' perspectives.
It will draw heavily upon the recent experience of collaborating teams =
in
the USA and UK, who have been adopting a continuous quality improvement
approach within interprofessional education. Opportunities will also be
provided for participants to share and reflect on their own experiences =
in
this field.
It will enable participants:
* to share and reflect on their experience of practice based/related
interprofessional education
* to consider lessons learned, and how to overcome barriers to
progress
* to learn from innovative approaches in Europe and North America
* to consider the way forward in their own locality
The conference will be of interest to those involved in education in =
NHS

organisations as
well as commissioners of education and those who are leading its =

and provision in higher education.
