Dear all
As Chairman of the British Geophysical Association (BGA) Geodesy Group, I
am the convener of the Geodesy Workshop at Geoscience 2000.
Geoscience 2000 will be held at the University of Manchester, 17-20 April
2000. The Geodesy Workshop will take the same form as the workshop that
was held at Geoscience 98 (in Keele), and the former UKGA meetings. It will
be scheduled either as a full-day or a half-day session at the conference.
The aim of the workshop will be to review the state-of-the-art geodetic
research in the UK, and to promote discussion amongst the various geodetic
and geophysical research groups. It will encourage post-graduate research
students to present their current research work.
CALL FOR PAPERS
I invite you to submit abstracts of papers for the workshop. As noted above
the intention is to encourage as many presentations from post-graduate
students as possible, although other presentations are also welcome. Please
send, preferably by email, your abstract (any format), detailing the title,
authors, who will present the paper, and contact details to me at the address
below. The absolute deadline is the END OF SEPTEMBER (1999).
More details about Geoscience 2000 may be found at www.geolsoc.org.uk
My apologies to those who have recieved this message from different
distribution lists.
