Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Institute of Engineering Surveying and Space Geodesy
(IESSG) at the University of Nottingham is expanding its activities in
several of its established research fields, and now invites applicants
for the post of Research Associate. Candidates should have
relevant experience and expertise in one or more of the following
areas:
- Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS),
- Development of filtering and modelling techniques in satellite
navigation,
- Real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS applications,
- Permanent GPS networks and the processing and analysis of
continuous GPS data.
Candidates should preferably have a PhD degree, or be about to
submit a PhD Thesis. In addition, candidates with research
backgrounds in geodesy, navigation, mathematics, physics, Earth
sciences, electronics or another related discipline will be
considered, provided they have relevant research experience.
Candidates with an appropriate first degree will also be considered,
providing they can demonstrate suitable expertise in one of the
required research areas.
Salary will be within the range £16,286 - £24,479 per annum,
depending on qualifications and experience. Fixed-term contracts
for a period of one or two years will be offered.
