Hello all
Last Wednesday I sent a message about a new publication from the Australian Geological Survey Organisation (AGSO). I have received information from the Editor concerning the cost, and how to order. Note there are two numbers of the journal that can be purchased together for a reduced cost. Before anyone asks, no, I do not get a commission, but really good new publications in our field are not so common, and I believe are worth drawing attention to.
This is to tell you that the sale price is $95 Australian dollars (about $62 US) plus postage and handling of $5 in Australia or $15 overseas. At the moment, we are offering a 'special' for volume 17 numbers 3 and 4 if purchased together. The ore deposit issue is volume 17, number 4. 17/3 consists of 15 review papers on the geology and mineral potential of major Australian mineral provinces. It covers all the Australian states and the Northern Territory. 17/3 is also $95, but the 2 issues can be purchased together for $160 Australian, plus postage, which is the same for either one or two issues, thus giving a saving of at least $30.
The publications can be ordered through AGSO's web site. See - http://www.agso.gov.au/information/ausgeonews/1999/agn50.html <http://www.agso.gov.au/information/ausgeonews/1999/agn50.html> open AUS.Geo News 50 and click on the AGSO Journal entry in the left hand frame.
Best wishes
Noel
I have just received a copy of a new publication which I believe is of exceptional value to ore deposit geologists. The contents list is shown below, with details for ordering. Sorry, I don't know the price, but whatever it is, it is worth it. Remember, the price is in little dollars ($1 Australian = about $0.62 US).
Each chapter on a deposit model has a brief summary of important features - very useful.

I always reply to messages requiring a response, but I travel a lot to places where collecting and sending messages is difficult. So if you do not get a reply and it is causing you problems, please contact Georgette Cobbs in San Francisco office (1-415-774 2008). She will know where I am and how to contact me.
