David:
I assume you mean the use of geosynthetics (geomembranes, geotextiles, and
synthetic drainage media) for the containment of water in waste water
treatment plants, since geosynthetics per se do not "treat" the water. You
will see from our web site (www.geosynthetic.com) that we work on the
quality assurance, nondestructive testing, failure analysis, and problem
solving of geosynthetics, especially geomembranes, used in all types of
containment facilities. There are many material types (HDPE, LLDPE, PP,
PVC, PVC alloy, CSPE, et al) that depend on the type of facility, location,
subgrade, water chemistry, anaerobic or aerobic treatment, etc. I have
recently been involved with facilities using reinforced geomembranes as
liners, baffles, and floating covers in soil floor/concrete wall anaerobic
digesters in the food processing industry. We've done electric leak
location surveys in post-construction geomembrane-lined concrete basins
containing many columns, and have investigated cracking at welds in concrete
basin cast-in liners in the chemical and mining industries.
If you can tell us a little more about your specific interests/concerns
we'll see if we can provide some of the information you need.

Hi,
I need some information about recent developments on "wastewater
treatment by using geosynthetics". If anyone has information on this
please email me at [log in to unmask]
I really appreciate for your help.
David
