I've just moved, so I don't have the complete information at hand, but I
could recommend:
"Film Sound", hopefully an Amazon.com search can turn this up
"Noise", Jacques Attali
I particularly liked using "Noise" because it allowed me to talk in more
depth about the power of sound and to emphasize the often overlooked
crucial role in constructing meaning that the sound track plays.

"People who talk about revolution and class struggle without referring
explicitly to everyday life, without understanding what is subversive about
love and what is positive in the refusal of constraint, have corpses in
their mouths."
-- Raoul Vaneigem
