LOOKING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY IN THE UK
Below this message are details of a forthcoming conference entitled
"Looking for Environmental Psychology in the UK" and an electronic
registration from. As we intend to circulate delegate information before
the conference itself, it is vital that we receive completed registration
forms no later than 30th September.
Plans for the meeting are shaping up well and it looks as though it will be
a very stimulating and enjoyable event! If you are interested, we hope you
will find time to register and that we will see you on the day.
If you need more information, look at the conference web site at:

All the best
All the best,

LOOKING FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY IN THE UK
London Guildhall University, 17th-18th December 1999
Organisers: Simon Ungar (London Guildhall University) and David Uzzell
(University of Surrey)
** LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF COMPLETED REGISTRATION
FORMS IS THURSDAY 30TH
SEPTEMBER **
The aim of this meeting is to find out what is happening in environmental
psychology in the UK, to provide a forum for researchers to meet and
exchange ideas, and hopefully to chart the future directions of the
research community. We are therefore particularly keen to welcome Ph.D.
students and other researchers who are relatively new to the field.

2) The Programme:
The activities of the meeting will be split over the two days, with Friday
to be devoted to paper presentations. The Saturday is to be devoted to
small group discussion of research priorities in environmental psychology,
leading up to a plenary discussion session. It is intended that the
discussions will be based largely on the research priorities identified in
your registration details (see below)
4) Recreation and Accommodation
We plan to book a restaurant for the delegates on the Friday night
somewhere in the local area, probably one of the many excellent but cheap
Bengali restaurants nearby. Accommodation and meals are not included in the
registration, but we can provide a list of local hotels and B&Bs. If you
have a spare bed to offer or if you would like to be put in touch with
someone who does, please get in touch and we will do our best to sort you out.
3) Registration:
The registration fee is 10 pounds sterling which covers admission, tea and
coffee, and copies of the pre-circulated printed materials, including
participant biographies, proceedings, 'research proposals' (see below).
Cheques drawn on a UK bank and made payable to "London Guildhall
University" should be sent to the conference address (see below). If you
submit your registration form by e-mail, please make sure that you also
send your fee by post. Please let us know if you have any practical or
financial difficulty with this.
Please make sure you complete all three sections and return via e-mail to:
