Dear Colleagues
A new mailing list has now been established to serve researchers
undertaking environmental psychology and environment-behaviour research.
The mailing list has been set up in the context of the forthcoming
conference Looking for Environmental Psychology in the UK (see
http://www.lgu.ac.uk/psychology/ungar/envconf/) in order that researchers
can keep in touch with each other after the conference, exchange
information and continue to discuss and debate issues of interest. The
intention, however, is that the membership of the list should be open to
the whole international community of environment-behaviour researchers as
well as those attending the conference. For this reason the mailing list
has the support of IAPS and will be run as an IAPS mailing list, but open
to everyone. IAPS is the International Association of People-Environment
Studies, and is one of the principle world-wide bodies of researchers and
professionals working in environment-behaviour relations.
The EnvPsy mailing list provides a discussion forum for those who undertake
research in environmental psychology. It will be of interest to
psychologists, geographers, planners, architects, sociologists and all
other disciplines which have an interest in people-environment transactions.
To join the EnvPsy list, send an email message to [log in to unmask]
with this command in the body of the message:
join EnvPsy firstname lastname
where firstname and lastname are your own personal names (e.g. join EnvPsy
Bill Clinton). The Mailbase computer will then send you a message asking
you to confirm your subscription by posting back a code. This is a security
measure to stop people faking email addresses.
