        Sustainable Lifestyles Conference
        Meeting the Challenge Today
        =20
        Thursday 11 March, 1999
        At the Senate House, London

The Sustainable Lifestyles conference will draw upon the
combined experience of environmental charities The World Wide Fund for
Nature (WWF-UK) and Global Action Plan, plus the latest thinking of
leading environmentalists and academics. In addition, the workshops, as
well as providing new information and guidance by experts, will present
an opportunity to share best practice and explore ideas.=20

The conference is run by two independent environmental
charities; Global Action Plan and The World Wide Fund for Nature
(WWF-UK). Between them, they have over 20 years experience in promoting
sustainable lifestyles. =20

Together, they run Action at Home, an environmental programme
helping householders to live greener lives. Over 21,000 households have
participated in Action at Home so far and it is expected that thousands
more will be participating in 1999. Action at Home has been used as a
tool to promote sustainable lifestyles by many organisations nationwide.
The programme was developed by environmental experts and academics and
is continually independently evaluated.=20
