The Institute has been set up to offer environmental business consultancy to Industry, Commerce
and Business Support Organisations in the East Midlands and beyond and will bring together
many disciplines of environmental expertise from around the University to improve
environmental management skills in business. The Centre for Integrated Environmental
Management will operate within the Institute and has been funded by a European Regional
Development Fund (ERDF) grant.
The Centre Manager’s role will also encompass a significant marketing function for the Institute.
Applicants for this new post, which is for two years in the first instance, will have a relevant
degree, be experienced in a marketing environment and have high level interpersonal and
communication skills. A significant grasp of environmental issues relating to Sustainable
Development, especially in a business context, is also expected and some experience of
undertaking environmental reviews would be desirable.
