"Climate Change and Human Health" Advanced Study
Courses 1999 sponsored by the European Commission
Environment and Climate Programme. venue: London,
United Kingdom.
The course provides public health researchers, other
scientists and policy-makers within Europe with an
opportunity to learn about the issues of climate change,
its health impacts and their amelioration. Themes include:
review of the context and needs of research into the health
impacts of climate change; newly-developed methods of
research; multidisciplinary and international collaboration;
and issues that are likely to be of particular relevance to
climate change and human health in Europe. Participants
must be resident in EU/EEA/EFTA countries and will be
selected by a Scientific Panel together with the European
Commission Services.
Accommodation will be provided for the selected
participants by the organiser of the course.
