Notwithstanding the on going debate about picking the brains of academia for easy references, and lacking an easily accessible library from work I am on the scrounge for references.
Does anybody know of any any references regarding the engineering properties of reworked Etruria Marl, especially in relation to slope stability. Considering the volume of construction and earthworks carried out on and with this material I thought there should be some overview publication somewhere.
I have been posed a stability question for the building of a series of industrial units at the top of a 6 m high 1 in 2 slope that consists of Colliery Spoil and compacted Marl. I have a set of geotechnical testing underway for the required effective and total stress values, however as always I am constrained by time (and budget) and would like to try and tie down the values I use for the analysis with some additional published data.
For reference the only articles from academia I have found are two in the QJEG, and additional ones would be most gratefully received.
Begging over, thank you in advance.
