1. From February 2000, The Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology will
become the Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology. The
new name reflects the existing content of high-quality peer-reviewed papers,
technical notes and photofeatures on engineering geology, engineering
geophysics, geomaterials, geotechnics, rock and soil mechanics and
hydrogeology. New developments to guide and inform the use community
include:
- More papers on the ever-widening scope of engineering geology and
hydrogeology.
- More coverage of enviromentally significant topics, including contaminant
geology, waste management, water resources and environmental geology.
- Faster publication times
- New, larger, A4 format allowing better reproduction of large figures and
tables.
- More colour in the hard-copy jounral
- Online access - with potential for more detailed colour figures, maps and
data sets to supplement the hard-copy journal.
