Can you please tell me how the absolute poverty level
(poverty line) is fixed? According to UNICEF, it is
"the income level below which a minimum nutritionally
adequate diet plus essential nonfood requirements is
not affordable". Other sources mention just the "diet"
and not the "nonfood requirements". Is there something
like a non-affordability of a minimum "kilocalorie
intake"?
