Thank you for this view.
The problem is: All these rating instruments are not validated. Besides, the
HON code is *not* a rating instrument (I personally doubt that putting a HON
logo on the site by the webmaster helps the consumer to discriminate between
quality and non-quality sites...).
The aim of our project is to test empirically the validity of a rating
instrument, but for this I need a test sample of websites providing health
education first hand (*NOT* a list of websites rating Internet information
with non-validated instruments, see the Jadad et al paper in JAMA) and I
need an expert panel compiling this "gold standard" against which our rating
instrument (and other rating instruments) can be validated.
