HPUX f"f90"has an IEEE854 style software quad precision (AFAIK same as Sun,
Dec Alpha, and Lahey lf95 for Intel. These don't compete in performance with
the style used by RS6000 and Mips boxes, but they are more stable numerically.

I would agree that, syntactically speaking, HPUX "f90" is not in the same
class with the others mentioned, but it is a step forward from their older
Fortrans.
