UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
Applications are invited for the newly established post of Professor
of Urban and Regional Studies, based in the Centre for Urban and
Regional Development Studies (CURDS), which is a multidisciplinary
research centre in the Department of Geography. CURDS has an
excellent international reputation for academic and policy relevant
research on the economic and social development of cities and
regions. In this post we are interested in candidates able to
strengthen this research area. We are also interested in candidates
with the potential to develop links with either of the Department's
other two research groups, namely; Social, Cultural and International
Development Studies, and the Spatial Analysis Research Group. The
Geography Department was awarded a 5 rating n the latest Research
Assessment Exercise and wishes to further strengthen its research,
research leadership and teaching by the appointment of a senior
academic with the ability to conduct research and teaching of the
highest quality.
