I have written some code that I want to make run with the commands
compile("file")
update(1000)
...
Bugs stops after 232 iterations with a lot of "log: DOMAIN error "
messages.
I suppose that "log: DOMAIN error" means that bugs attempt to calculate the
log of a negative numbers. What reason can explan the occurence of such error?
Now if I make run with the commands
compile("file")
update(231)
save("save.231")
q()
and re-ran using "save.231" as init file and the commands
compile("file")
update(1000)
Then bugs goes further than iteration 232.
Could someone explain what is happening ?
I have investigated further. I ran
compile("file")
update(100)
save("save.100")
q()
then again
compile("file")
update(131)
save("save.100+131")
q()
using "save.100" as initial values for the second run.
I can see that "save.231" and "save.100+131" are different whereas I was
expecting to fing the same files since I thought "save.100" would have
restarted the Gibbs samppler in the same state than after iteration 100.
Am I wrong ?
