Last autumn, when audiences were unaccountably low, I queried whether or not
SVP should continue
The response was such that it is continuing, but I must emphasise that
encouragement though welcome will not sustain activity - attendance will
The SVP magazine has ceased. A full list of available back issues is still
not ready. But will be
A new magazine, Signal Passed at Danger, has been launched. This is more
explicitly separate from the series than the SVP magazine. So far 3 issues
have been published and each has been given away to all paying members of
the audience on publication
The next issue is planned for 18th January and will *probably feature Jerome
Rothenberg and Brian Catling amongst others
The venue has changed. There will be no more events at 3 Cups. The venue is
now Upstairs, Churchills, Mount Pleasant, London WC1X 0AE. The next reading
is the Eric Mottram Celebration 2000 which will be given by Bob Cobbing - 18
Jan 2000, 8 pm
The 4th SV Colloquium will be held in London on 20th May 2000 - venue
address will be announced later; it is being withheld at present to avoid
confusion
