I am wondering if anyone can direct me to American, Scots, English, Irish,
Middle or Old English poems that contain, concern, or otherwise condone
farts, farting, and flatulence. Not really interested in burps, though
some turds and dung is okay, but for the most part I really don't want to
get sidetracked into turds and dung, being concerned mostly with the
gaseous excretions of the posterior.
There's The MIller's Tale, obviously (with the great pun on tail).
Sir Thopas mentions a "toord".
John Donne's "The Storm" refers to a gargantuan fart.
Moby Dick, that great prose poem, contains reference to farts.
Thank you.
