interesting experience today in the class I teach -- a very smart young
African American woman had been reading Andrew Duncan, and talked to the
class about how she could relate to it very directly. This cast some new
light on Andrew's work for me, the kind I'm sure he'd be pleased to hear
of. Perhaps if anyone here sees him, they could pass on this bit of info
-- that his work at a Realist exhortation to react is having almost its
due effect, sometimes. The poem was 'The Faculty of Reason'. Linda began
to describe her own experience of exclusion in class terms, as well as
race terms.
