About 15 years ago there was a leftist choir in Edmonton, Alberta, which
was known as Notre Dame de Banane. I heard them once or twice, but it's
been a while -- I think their repertoire varied from satire to earnest
standards. There were enough of 'em that someone in the Edmonton folkie or
leftist scenes ought to remember 'em.
What about the Raging Granny phenomenon? Would that be of interest? The
Victoria BC group, who I think originated it, have a songbook w/photos &
essays. I can certainly dig up an address for that if it would be
valuable....
