A good topic for Monday as well?
Despite being pro-letters, I have to admit that neither RPMSA or RMSA sound
particularly great - acknowledgements to the point made by Nicky Riding!
(And not's let forget SARP which - whatever your views in the debate we had
about the Society's name - is not a great acronym either - a besetting SoA
problem perhaps?)
As I understand that the Executive Secretary of the SoA is heavily involved
in sorting this matter out, I am copying his office in in case he cares to
give the list a bit more info on the current situation (Pat, please pass
this on to an hon officer if that is more appropriate). Clearly there are
strong feelings out there which Council would do well to consider before
choosing letters.
all the best
Sarah
PS for Susan Healy - I am sure we could have a mutually enlightening
discussion about designatory letters next time we meet! sjaf
