What is the consensus concerning the cataloguing of leases?
Strictly speaking of course they belong to the categroy 'Estate Papers',
yet are cataloguers tending to include them under the term 'Deeds'? The
concern may be one of helping the user see at a glance the complete
history of a property, in which case a deed bundle is retained (leases
and all!) On the other hand is this being untrue to the nature of the
document?
I would be interested to hear any views on this matter, particularly as
I'm in the process of converting an existing catalogue onto CALM. Is
there a current guide to practice?
